ITW TekFast's engineers are highly trained in the science of fastening. If our standard
products do not meet your requirements, our engineers will work with you to develop the
best possible solution. It is our goal to develop the best product quickly and economically.

In order to meet your specific needs, TekFast uses several of the most frequently used
CAD systems for part design. We design with Pro/Engineer, Unigraphics, Catia, and SDRC
I-DEAS depending on your specification. Communication of these designs is vital, so we
will supply a paper print and electronic data for your review. Electronic data can be
sent as native CAD data, IGES, or STEP on a 4mm tape, 8mm tape, or through email.

After designs are finalized, TekFast has the capability to build prototype tools quickly.
These tools are capable of producing a limited quantity of production intent parts. Prototype
parts can be used to test application requirements in the field. Rapid prototyping through
LS or SLA is also available. These parts can be produced within a week, but cannot be used
for functional testing. They work well to better show design ideas and fit testing.

ITW TekFast Engineering has the capability to test prototype and production
parts for design requirements. We have the capability to test clips for tube and panel
fastener insertion/removal in a tensile tester. Environmental ovens are on hand to test
parts at various temperatures. Impact testing is also available.
